The Road Out II

The Road Out II, 8x10

I painted this landscape from photos I took a year ago in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. My college buddy, Bruce Powers, hauled me up there to help him build a tool shed on the property he and his wife, Peggy, bought there a few years ago. This view is from the road that fronts their scenic property.

Gorgeous!! Not sure where to start, love the winding path that takes me right into the composition. Also love the wonderful non-competing warm and cool greens, wonderful!!

Awesome simplification Stephen. I am always telling my students "start by blocking in the large, abstract shapes". You have this dialed!

Beautiful color in this Stephen. I love how the light is touching the top of the greenery in the foreground!

Love this painting and scene! You captured it beautifully. The color of the grass pops and compliments the greens so well.

The colors are stunning. If it looks this good on the web, the original must be a knockout.
