'40 Chevy

'40 Chevy, 8x10

This 1940 Chevy sedan was my Uncle Louis' first new car. It was restored several years ago by my cousins, Donald and Charles Furey and Donald's son, John. If I've left anyone out, Fureys, let me know and I'll update this post. Everyone involved did a magnificent job.

So cool Stephen! Almost as good as playing with hot wheels.
Love your style.

Very nice work! I love the highlight at the upper corner of the passenger window and the dark shadows under the front of the car. This is really outstanding.

What a GREAT car (and painting of course)! Your spot on values always amaze me. That deep maroon is so rich and reflects the dignity of this majestic old Chevy. How wonderful that your cousins restored it. Great story, Stephen!

There's a wonderful sense of movement in the background, though the car is standing still. The movement suggests purpose. Very nice, Stephen.

Wonderful perspective! I like the way your background is really loose, in order to keep the focus on this stately car. Nice paint job... on the real thing, and your painting.
