Lake Austin Piers

Lake Austin Piers, 5x7
SOLD

Our friend and fellow Plein Air Austin member, Cindy Ridge, hosted today's paintout. Her shady Lake Austin property was one of the few cool outdoor spots around Austin today. Torrential rains earlier in the week and today's sunny skies made for a hot and extremely humid day. Luckily for us the water temperature in this part of the lake is around 70ยบ at the moment, thanks to a release from Mansfield Dam, upstream. The water temp and a slight breeze kept Cindy's shady yard nice and cool. When can we come back, Cindy?

I haven't visited in a while and I have to say that I love these new paintings. One of my favorites is the Barn on Avalon. Very nice color in all and I love the painterly quality.

This is so lovely and I SO wish I was out painting with you all. I adore Cindy Ridge - used to paint with her in Laurel Daniel's classes. I'm gonna get that plein air schedule out. Do ya'll ever paint on the weekend? I am also an Austin native. Wonderful painting!!
