Cotton Warehouse

Cotton Dock, 8 x 10
SOLD

This dock once was the loading point for the cotton grown on the historic Boone Hall plantation in South Carolina. Barges transported the cotton from here down the tidal Wando River to Charleston Harbor for export.

The golden light here is beautiful, Stephen. This exudes solitude, both in the landscape and in the reflections, very nice.

Beautifully rendered water and light. Great subject, too.

What a tranquil scene! Love the way the golden light bathes everything. Great water reflections and I really like the soft areas where sky and treeline meet.

The word is back - Tony and Donna said Ellen LOVES the painting. One of everyone's favorite subjects around here, Ellen had framed a photograph she took of the Cotton Dock - from exactly the same viewpoint - and given it to Tony for a present. My gift was a Huge hit with my second family. Thanks.
