Plein Air — A New World

Gazebo, 8 x 1o
SOLD
Welcome to my first post. The painting above was produced in Laurel Daniel's spring Plein Air class at Laguna Gloria. One of Laurel's countless worthwhile admonitions was to start a blog and post our work. So, here I am and here it is. This gazebo is on the picturesque grounds of Laguna Gloria Art School, part of the Austin Museum of Art, near the foot of Mount Bonnell at the west end of 35th Street.

That is a BEAUTIFUL painting! The play of light and shadow is just gorgeous, and I love that little bit of warm orange on the steps.
