Balboa Island

Balboa Island, 10 x 8
purchase here

This is a panel I started my first day painting at Randall Sexton's workshop last month in Newport Beach. The ferry to Newport Peninsula (background) boards a few hundred feet back along the seawall to the left.

Love the use of yellow in there, so strategically done!

I love the "No" something or other sign on the bottom of the street post. Your graphic designer is showing ;-)

Great painting! I really like the hazy clouds on the horizon and soft edged distant hill with palm trees. It gives a subtle sense of place. Congratulations on your show. I admire the work of all three of you, and with I could have been there. Good luck with the show!
