Tank Town

Tank Town, 6 x 8

These colorfully painted water tanks sit just outside Dripping Springs, Texas, west of Austin. I noticed it a couple years ago along U.S. 290 while returning from San Antonio. When I pulled over to take a picture, I was amused by the sign over the elevated tank, which proudly proclaims, "Tank Town."

I know exactly where these are, Stephen! They do catch one's eye--love that you stopped to capture them!

I love these areas of towns and cities that have so much character and provide great shapes and colors. Great name too!
Your thumbnails aren't showing up in my blog list. Not sure why.

I love the color and brushstrokes here in this completely different kind of subject. It still has a familiar feelthough I've not been there. towns have these places and it's great to recognize them.

You can just tell when an artist has fun with a painting. Well done, Stephen.

Fun name, delightful image and another reason I love artists who see beauty in things people take for granted everyday.

Really nicely done. Wonderful trees behind the colorful tanks that set the stage for them. Like the power lines too:)

What a fun Painting. I'm sure it is how they were really colored but they sort of look like giant easter eggs! This is nature (or man made) stranger than fiction.
