Continental Club, 20 x 16
SOLD

The Continental Club has been around since the late fifties and is one of the most beloved of Austin's music venues. I like to think it will never disappear.

So evocative on an era. (Does it have a piano bar? I think were were here once...) Nicely done!

I really like these "slice of life" paintings, this one in particular because of the retro continental sign and the tattoo sign of "today". And then there's your spectacular color harmony, values, and composition; so very nice!

Love everything about this piece. The light, angles, colors...wonderful! Never been to Austin but it is on the top of my list of places to visit. Have a friend who recently moved there.

I like your contrast of shadow and light in this.

Love the light striking the top of sign. You handle these street scenes so well, I feel like I've been there.

What a great piece. It has an early evening feel to me, after the stores close and before the night starts. I love these old signs.

Nice colors...the primary colors, and they work well together.

this is so great and you captured that time of day. great reflective light too! do you work on site and in studio? seems like you'd have to be there.

Love the sign, half in light, half in shadow - really lovely lighting in this piece - enjoying the way you did the windows too.
