Saturday evening, after a couple hours of painting, Plein Air Austin had our end-of-year party at Westlake Beach and Marina. The weather was perfect and lots of family and friends showed up for the catered picnic. The scene above is not actually of Westlake Beach, but of the adjacent marina, the name of which I didn't notice. I was attracted by the clear skies and the bright, late afternoon light on the boats.

This is a gorgeous Stephen, no wonder you had to paint it!
It's the water that grabbed me - right away - the fabulous gradations, and reflections... get me a glass of wine and a lawn chair!
Gorgeous colours Stephen! I just want to be there! I agree with Kelley, the water is simply beautiful.
Meanwhile, back in New England, we are all freezing while you are still boating.
I've been there. Nice rendition.
the play of light is great here, with the shadows on the boats providing really nice depth
