Georgetown Square, 6x8
SOLD
Plein Air Austin joined the plein air group from Williamson County this morning on the town square of their county seat, Georgetown, Texas. It's one of Texas' best-preserved old downtown areas, with plenty to paint. The building at the end of the block with the turret on top is the Masonic Lodge of Georgetown, built around 1900.

Great strong lights.
Beautiful light and really like the contrast between the "finished" areas with the "unfinished" areas.
Lovely painting.
Love the way the warmth of your under painting comes through. This painting is sound structurely with such artistic brushwork and style.
Stephen, I Love all your plein air paintings, this one especially. Very nicely done!
Wonderful light in this Stephan, and I like how you left the lower right corner vague.
Love the yellow side of that building.
You really got the drama of the lighting and the wonderful lines of the historical buildings. LOVE IT!
Your architecture always has an ease to it but still retains the important lines. So well done! Love the bright spot of gold, but the real magic that happens for me is in the shadows. Perfect values, no mud, just the right indication of detail. Really solid, Stephen!
Wonderful. I thought it was either Fredericksburg or Georgetown. Lighting is dramatic and the scene timeless.
You really made this painting sing. Not only do I love the bright light yellow on the building I love the orange in the foreground. Beautiful.
Gorgeous painting.
how do you get this much information onto such a small support? wow! it is really masterfully done!
the blue of the sky with that creammy yellow lit wall and then the bit of white truck. wow....just right
the soft blue and creamy yellow are so wonderful together and the little white truck provides that extra light focus-great!
love the light and glow in this piece!
Everything captured beautifully.
