Too Busy To Sit, 8 x 88
SOLDThis afternoon, the Plein Air Austin paintout was at Martha Ruth's house, just a mile or so below Mansfield Dam, on Lake Austin. It's a beautiful spot and Martha and her husband, Gene, were terrifically hospitable to have us there.

Another great composition. I am always so impressed with the way you include figures in your paintings; it really adds a lot of interest. I haven't even attempted animals yet, much less humans :)
Gettin' better all the time. . . I love it!
This is lovely, Stephen. I'm always drawn to the blues, and now I'm noticing the brownish to gray on the deck, and the white wisps just make it feel so real. Beautiful work.
love your work , this was my first visit to you blog, gorgeous art here!
Very nice, Stephen, lovely contrasts; so glad I got to see this, as you slipped away Saturday before I had the chance. Enjoyed meeting you, too, and hope to paint "with you" again soon!
'Love the adirondack chairs. I am always impressed with the complexity of your paintings.
Stephen-thank you for your e-mail, I know just enough about computers to get me through a limited amount of communication. I did what you suggested, did not know that that existed, and there you go, I was able to add you, thanks again.
Although your painting exudes shade and comfort, I don't know how you and others can paint something this beautiful and contend with our Texas summer heat; wow! I love seeing the 3 little reddish stripes on the far left and then finding variations of that same color throughout your painting. Well done!
